Promised Land
May 5, 1977
New Haven Coliseum

The slower tempo here lets Jerry and Keith stretch out some during their solos.

Estimated Prophet

The Palladium

Startled not to find this here. Def. best of Palladium run, and can stand toe to toe with the rest of the month.

fantastic version with great Bobby/Donna. Everyone else is just trying to match their emotional performances.

Queen Jane Approximately
Oct. 8, 1989
Hampton Coliseum

Very nice version from the Mothership.
Let It Grow
May 14, 1978
Providence Civic Center

Serious version worth a serious listen. This should be WAY higher. The song-as-composition is featured here in a really nice rendition, but the song-as-jam-vehicle is also explored to the max. The band meanders through every aspect of the song.
Ship of Fools
June 23, 1974
Jai-Alai Fronton

Truly incredible stuff. The AUD on this (Moore's, I believe) is worth a listen.
We Can Run
March 29, 1990
Nassau Coliseum

Worth listening to if for no other reason that to hear what the Dead would sound like as a parody of themselves. Falls at just the right part of the set, and Jerry is clearly chomping at the bit all night.
Here Comes Sunshine
Feb. 23, 1974
Winterland Arena

Seconded, and since no one's mentioned it, wonderfully clear recording with great balance. I don't usually worship at the alter of '73, but I love these "HCS."
