First song from this set that really grabbed me. Beautiful playing from the entire band.

Hot version from a killer first set! Short but heady jam. AUD for full effect.

Short version, but some great MIDI playing. You can hear how deeply influenced Garcia was by saxophonists.

I added my vote, because the version is so good (moving right into "El Paso"), and because the whole show needs some love.

I'll have to check out that matrix though...

There's a reason this is #1. The band hits it right off the gate (I have an AUD that sounds better than my SBD, and you can hear the whistle blowing). Jerry and Phil are both great, and the bops to dark unexpected places revitalize the main jam. They keep it up.

This is one of my favorite "Scarlets" from this run. Jerry is inventive and seems to be exploring new parts of the fretboard. And I liked Donna on this run as well (I hear a real "Dark Side of the Moon" thing in her vocals on this version), but they flub the transition into "Fire" just a tiny bit, and the "Fire" is seems a bit too slow. I know it's nitpicking, and we're all lucky to have a month of killer versions of this song. Also some inventive playing over the outro material, but IMHO, Cornell and Tuscaloosa have this one topped.

and that was BEFORE the great interplay on the transition into "Fire" (which is different, but still all time). (edit:) This is just unbelievably good, and as everyone else has remarked, so different.
