Brent's playing goes far outside of the rhythmic structures the rest of the band is using to support him, shaking them out of their complacency.

Acceptable slide playing from Bobby. Nice extended organ solo, MIDI sax solo. Whole band playing blues choruses gives first set particular vibe.

Looser and hotter than its more famous brethren from the following night, but Garcia gets buried some in the mix.

To my ears, the Betty Boards usually have a fair amount of Keith. Come hear why.

Hot and short. Unreal how sure Jerry is on all these leads.

I'll come right out and say it, this is one of the best band interplays I have ever heard. Archive comments talk about Jerry being low in the mix, and I think it's also a purposeful move on his part to bring his volume down because the band is absolutely cooking. Solid efforts from Brent, Phil, and Mickey's cyclic patterns especially, but the whole group is simply locked in.

Incredible version. Manor Downs has long been my go to '82 "S > F," but I'm reconsidering this now.

This is a serious version. The song never really clicked for me till now. Check it out. (edit) This is incredible. The whole show has a weird quirk about it that I love, and this as a powerful set I ender is part of it.
