Turn On Your Love Light

RFK Stadium

Hornsby always makes Jerry play better. Here's the AUD I've been loving: https://archive.org/details/gd1991-06-14.sennME80.wklitz.94371.flac16

Short (and an AUD patch), but kicks off a wonderful sequence.

Goin' Down The Road Feelin' Bad

Iowa State Fairgrounds

I didn't hear anything terribly remarkable in this version, and despite a few standouts, thought the show overall had too many weak spots (which is why I overall prefer the 18th), but *TOTALLY* agree about the atmosphere of this show!! This is one of my favorites to throw on when I have 4 hours to move through a show! Vibe on.

Has good performance from Bobby and Jerry quotes “Samson” melody, wrapping this whole sequence up classically.

Stellar version and lifts the set back up after the weak spot.

Super heady shit. The sequence from "Terrapin" through the end of "Space" is top shelf, but the preceding "Samson" isn't any better than good, and I could do without the Brent tune at the end. Agree that a "Wheel" would have elevated this entire sequence into rarified air.

I always feel the exact opposite, but fiery is right! Listen to the crowd singing along and JG giving it right back, firing the whole band up. This is why AUDs rule! The crowd fills in the line Jerry drops, and he returns with a nice lick and by singing his poor throat out on the refrain. A real rip-snorter!
