Excellent BMR encore after a HOT show and a NFA chant. Really soulful version

Feelin' Groovy Jam
June 8, 1974
Coliseum Stadium

Underrated China>Rider featuring this magnificent Feelin' Groovy jam - you think it's gonna end but they just rip it for another climax. What a treat!

Bertha

Meadowlands Arena

Starts off choppy with Jerry forgetting lyrics but by "Throw me in the jailhouse" the band is in fine form

Dire Wolf

Campus Stadium - University Of California

Strong post-hiatus version - Phil thundering away on this one. Love how Jerry belches out "BOYS sing 'round the fire"

Subdued NFA leading into a surprise and flawless China Doll

Dark Star
Aug. 21, 1972
Berkeley Community Theater

Real spacey Star, not too much jamming, though the section starting around 16:30 as others have mentioned is beautifully Phil/Keith driven. Always loved how they start Dew only to veer off - makes for a very unique and fun DS. (edit) - Keith is definitely MVP for this show no doubt
The Other One
May 13, 1983
Greek Theater

Great buildup from the end of Throwing Stones. Never gets truly "incendiary" but is a beast nonetheless
Wharf Rat
Dec. 16, 1994
Sports Arena

Jerry's pretty good on this one, some decent jamming and the lyrics aren't totally blown! I'd say this is probably one of the best of '94. Branford really gives Jerry the kick he needs. Check out the new Christopher Hazard video just to prove that Jerry was "on".
Shakedown Street
Dec. 28, 1978
Golden Hall, Community Concourse

Underrated as shit. Soundboard mix could not be better. Amazed I've just heard this for the first time - this seems like a definitive Keith/Donna version. It packs a lot of the energy like 1/10/79 IMO
Dark Star
Dec. 11, 1972
Winterland Arena

It takes them more than SEVENTEEN minutes to reach the first verse. To put this into perspective, the entire Dark Star from 6/30/73 is 16:30 minutes long. I can't love this one enough - truly a beast.
