Looks Like Rain
Sept. 11, 1990
The Spectrum

This entire show, especially second set, feels like the true Brent tribute. First after his death, Bob's singing is beautiful, band playing impeccably

China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
Sept. 11, 1990
The Spectrum

Simply put, incredible. Second one after Brent's death, Vince only still. Really excellent playing on everyone's part, even Vince is trying to dig in

Not Fade Away

Cal Expo

They don't call it a Throw>Away encore for no reason - decent end but no real jamming highlights

Wharf Rat

Cal Expo

Top notch Wharf takes me by surprise, especially this Vince solo show. Jerry is emotive when he sings, good sign

Not Fade Away
Aug. 19, 1989
Greek Theatre, U. Of California

Nearly gets to some of that primal Dead energy, such a great version is definitely underrated
Eyes Of The World
Sept. 11, 1990
The Spectrum

NOT performed on this date, last played 9/8/90, next played 9/18/90
Spoonful
Sept. 11, 1990
The Spectrum

There is simply not a better Spoonful around, sorry. Entire second set might comprise one of the top 3 nights of the entire year, let alone the '90s or Vince era. Never really hear the band truly dig THIS deep until parts of Spring 91 and 12/28/91 Same Thing bust out. Incredible leading by Phil in the jam on this one
He's Gone
Sept. 11, 1990
The Spectrum

One of the best of the year melts into the BEST Spoonful not just of the year but ever. R.I.P. Brent
Estimated Prophet
Feb. 25, 1990
Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum

Very nice, unexpectedly deep Estimated. Love the Jerry noodling at the end before he goes all in for Eyes
