Latest Dave’s Version is solid. Slower than some versions but very bluesy and Pig is at his best

Interesting song and show. Not a good recording and not the best show but worth a listen. Honky Tonk Women? From NFA on, it sounds like the Dead.

It's All Over Now Baby Blue
April 23, 1969
The Ark

Pure soul and swagger. Some great jams in this version in the quintessential 1969 show. I love some of the latter day versions too, but I am not really sure they should be considered the same song. Basic song structure is the same and the lyrics, but musically they seem completely different, so incomparable. Both eras versions of this are heady though. This whole show is.

Fox Theatre

This is about as good as it gets. On the new River box.
Brokedown Palace
Dec. 10, 1973
Charlotte Coliseum

This show is not getting enough attention. Not the strongest vocals on this version but quite enjoyable.

Not the best ever but deserves more love. Jazzy and beautiful
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
Aug. 5, 1974
Philadelphia Civic Arena

This is probably my favorite. China Cat for sure. For a minute it sounds like it will never end and that is a good thing. Keith is doing his thing at the top of his game. Phil is plugging away and the boys are playing beautiful accompanying guitars. Billy is not to be denied either, very steady top notch performance. Not the blow the roof off stuff from 77 but will put you in a trance like groove. Feel good music at its best.
