Swingin' energetic version. Really kicks at the end.

This one crackles with energy. Bobby really lets it rip.

Mexicali Blues

Oklahoma City Music Hall

Super tight version with a great mix and some nice harmonies.

Cumberland Blues
Nov. 15, 1972
Oklahoma City Music Hall

Another blazing version from a prime Cumberland year. Doesn't quite match 11/17, but is still oh so fine.

Sweet and mellow, well played by the band, and nicely sung by Jerry too.

Weather Report Suite
Nov. 19, 1972
Hofheinz Pavilion

More of a tease than a proper rendition of the Prelude, but this is undoubtedly some treacherous territory.
Dark Star
Nov. 19, 1972
Hofheinz Pavilion

Some really interesting jams in this one. Jazz spaciness, feedback peppered with light Phil bombs, and then it edges close to MLB/Feelin' Groovy territory before somehow ending up in the Weather Report intro.

Well, maybe not the 18th, now that I've listened to it again. This is still a darn good Playing though!
Sugar Magnolia
Nov. 17, 1972
Century II Convention Hall

There are a lot of killer Sugar Mags from Nov. '72, but this one is the top of the top. Sometimes Jerry comes achingly close to those licks that you really want him to play, but in this one, he hits them full force, and the whole band is spot on.

Oh yeah, this one smokes! If only the sound on the recording was a little better, it would be right up there with Nov. 15th and 18th.
