The best Sugar>Scarlet transition I heard live, seamless and perfect. Great to see it again “At the Movies”.

Field House - Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute

Great version, I saw two Scarlet> Fire’s in ’77, but this one is when I really “Got It”, the Scarlet transition jam is wonderful, even Donna has a soulful quality. The real kicker for me is the Fire vocal finale, this is the first time I remember the Row, Row, Row your Boat repetition of the lyrics, I when I first heard the tape a few years ago, it all came flooding back. Makes me smile every time I hear it.

The version just before Atlanta is equally hot, can’t miss a single Scarlet> Fire from the Spring of ’78. I like the Scarlet transition jam even better. The first Fire solo is tremendous, Jerry’s tone is very fat, starts to fan a little, then the “You really can’t fake” line is delivered with authority, very nice. The finale is not as hot as Atlanta, but still very good.

Wow, did not know this version, now in my top ten for sure. The entire band is on FIRE! I love all the ’78 versions of Scarlet> Fire and this one needs to be heard, listen and vote.

Also my favorite version, there is about 60 seconds of pure bliss during the final jam that made all the miles worthwhile.
