Bo Diddley
March 25, 1971
Academy of Music

The first one played and with Bo Diddley must be on the list, very cool set list, Dick’s Picks Vol. 30

Casey Jones
Nov. 2, 1979
Nassau Coliseum

Rocking Casey Jones, first one with Brent. The band sounds completely revitalized with a new keyboard player.

Not Fade Away
Nov. 2, 1979
Nassau Coliseum

This Not Fade Away is outstanding, slow funky intro and high energy vocals lead to a short second jam, but it will bring a smile to your face.

C. C. Rider
Sept. 10, 1991
Madison Square Garden

I love the Branford solo, very sweet and where Jerry’s solo is supposed to be they transition to “Its Takes a Lot to Laugh…” Give it a listen.

C. C. Rider
Dec. 1, 1979
Stanley Theater

Out of an amazing Gloria jam, the first C. C. Rider is a must listen, Bobby just spits out the lyrics. The jam that follows is hot as well.

Dark Star
Feb. 27, 1969
Fillmore West

Glad this one is in the top three, it surly is the most listened to version, being on Live Dead. It’s great to have it in the context of the show now, always love the transition from Mountain on the Moon> Dark Star.
Satisfaction
July 7, 1986
RFK Stadium

This was the only time I saw anything like Weir’s band introduction, and then Jerry chiming in with “One of my favorite people in the whole wide world, Mr Bob Weir!” It is a classic moment in a not well played show and has my vote as a top Satisfaction. I have had this tape since the show, on the D5scott version at archieve.org the Yea! Yea! when they decide to play Satisfaction is me.
Might As Well
Oct. 29, 1977
Evans Field House, Northern Illinois University

Glad we can agree, if there is a better one, with Jerry having more fun than this version, I need to hear it.
Wharf Rat
June 20, 1983
Merriweather Post Pavilion

Ya, my levels went through the roof, Powerful version even without the "divine" intervention.
Truckin'
May 9, 1979
Broome County Arena

This one would be voted much higher if we had a better tape. The sweat was dripping of the ceiling, 2 for 2 with Binghamton Truckin's
