The Cryptical Reprise is a beast, this whole show could be nominated, Dick’s Picks Vol. 8, listen again and vote.

Cryptical Envelopment

River Bend Music Center

Great Show, 2nd “Cryptical Envelopment” in 13-years, Jerry’s voice is not in the best shape, but well worth a listen.

Cryptical Envelopment

Greek Theater

The ‘Bust Out” version from the Greek, still remember someone throwing a huge basket full of rose pedals in the air when Jerry hit the first notes.

Hey Jude Finale
July 12, 1990
Robert F. Kennedy Stadium

Sadly, I must also nominate the last one played, from what was the best “Stadium” show I saw. RIP Brent.

The Omni

Another great version from Spring ’90, got to love the MIDI tone of Garcia’s guitar.

Casey Jones
Oct. 2, 1977
Paramount Theatre

Now this is what I was hoping from this site, a great version of a classic song that I have never heard. This is indeed one of the best Casey Jones ever played. The rust was just shrugged off, (first one since ’74) and a layered middle jam, (when Jerry spaced the vocals) just flows, 4 or 5 times around with Keith even taking a turn is amazing, the closing vocals are also very strong. Thanks for the insight.
Sugar Magnolia
June 20, 1983
Merriweather Post Pavilion

The best Sugar Magnolia I saw live, love the aboriginal rap at the end, wonder if they are right and this is all “Just a Dream”.
The Music Never Stopped
Feb. 3, 1978
Dane County Coliseum

A close second to 04-24 Normal, the two best from '78 for sure
Dancin' in the Streets
May 11, 1978
Springfield Civic Center Arena

My first Dancin’ and one of the best all time. The final vocal jam makes me smile every time I hear it.
Stella Blue
Jan. 11, 1979
Nassau Coliseum

This one was when I got “Stella” probably too high for my first two, 1978-05-05_Dartmouth and 1978-05-11_Springfield and it became my favorite Jerry ballad for my remaining years on tour. I love when they bring it to a completion, not cut off to soon and this one soars.
