Believe It Or Not
June 30, 1988
Silver Stadium

This is a good version and I really like the tone on Garcia’s guitar during the solo and great closing vocals. Give it a listen.

Believe It Or Not

Alpine Valley Music Theatre

The first live version needs to be on this list, very well sung by Garcia and well played. They didn’t play this song enough.

“Thought I heard a young man” lines are just off the charts, Garcia giving every ounce. Give it a listen

If Sept ’87 MSG is most people’s favorite version, (at least the most votes for a 80’s version) than this version needs to be recognized.

Goin' Down The Road Feelin' Bad

Golden Hall

Another great vesion from ’71 with a unique transition jam after the “We bid you Goodnight” coda, this time into JBG.

The Music Never Stopped

Indiana Convention Center

The Mid-Section jam also soars, and the final is sick. I don't know a better version from 79' This should have more votes, give it a listen.
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
March 18, 1977
Winterland Arena

Listened to this again today, love how laid back the Scarlet jam is, Donna adds a lot, very mellow and cool and the start of Fire is so sublime, so much confidence. The brief distortion at the start of the closing jam just gives me the chills each time I hear it, what a debut!!

Very nice version from a GREAT 3-Night Winterland run
Not Fade Away

Hartford Civic Center

Had to add vote, show #2 for me and this is a very Heady version.
Not Fade Away
March 18, 1977
Winterland Arena

Heard it a few times, but today it got my attention, the climax jam is just outstanding. I'm going to give the Matrix a listen, my Clugston-Lucas CBD aud patch is very harsh. This show (3-Night run) should be released.
