Darkness Jam
May 7, 1970
DuPont Gym - MIT

The first one, (maybe not, unheard tapes are being released Dave’s Picks Vol 6), this Darkness Jam is in the middle of an amazing Lovelight.

Darkness Jam
July 31, 1971
Yale Bowl, Yale University

Starting at the 7:55 minute mark of GDTR, again very short, but a beautiful Darkness Jam. On RT Vol. 1 No. 3, give it a listen.

He's Gone
Nov. 4, 1979
Civic Center

Very sublime into by Lesh start this soulful He’s Gone. The jam that follows breaks down to pure chaos, Fall ’79 rules again.

Morning Dew
Sept. 17, 1982
Cumberland County Civic Center

Hard to believe this version has not been nominated, one of the beat from ’82, Jerry in strong voice, Phil bombs. Good matrix out now as well.

The Music Never Stopped
Oct. 21, 1983
Worcester Centrum

I love how Phil lays back for the first few bars, then Bam! slams it home. The middle jam in the version is what make is so special, give it a listen you won’t be disappointed.
The Music Never Stopped
May 7, 1978
Field House - Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute

This version needs more votes. Many, (if not all ’77-’78) versions have a smoking / fanning finale, but this version has the most intense middle jam. Jerry starts this amazing run, almost too fast, as he misses a few notes, but it is breathtaking as they continue to jam and then in unison, nail the return to the main melody.
Ship of Fools
April 16, 1978
Huntington Civic Center

I agree, this is a great version, after Jerry’s bout with laryngitis, the Spring of 78 through Red Rocks has some of his most impassioned singing ever.
Ship of Fools
July 8, 1978
Red Rocks Amphitheatre

One of the most passionately sung Ship of Fools ever played, all the Jerry ballads from these two nights at Red Rocks should be on the list.
Looks Like Rain
May 9, 1981
Nassau Coliseum

I was with Rob when he made this tape and when they finish LLR, we look at each other and just smiled, nodded and said WOW! Great version, the China>Rider that follows is also very good, give it a listen
