Goin' Down The Road Feelin' Bad
Jan. 12, 1979
The Spectrum

Out of a great NFA, this Going Down the Road rocks, Weir is strumming chords like a madman and Phil drops a few bombs for good measure, give it a try.

Not Fade Away
Jan. 12, 1979
The Spectrum

Great version, slow powerful into then 14 + jamming minutes from an underrated show. Wish there was a SBD, give it a listen anyway.

The Mighty Quinn (Quinn The Eskimo)
Dec. 30, 1985
Oakland Coliseum

Must give a nod to the first one, the only one I know of with a middle Jerry solo.

Greatest Story Ever Told
Aug. 20, 1983
Frost Amphitheatre

Just exactly perfect, the moment when Jerry starts his solo and the sound wave pulsated through the crowd.

Sugar Magnolia

Oakland Coliseum

Very aggressive transition into Sunshine Daydream, someone calls out 1, 2, 3, 4 and then bam. Worth the listen.

Dark Star
Feb. 27, 1969
Fillmore West

Glad this one is in the top three, it surly is the most listened to version, being on Live Dead. It’s great to have it in the context of the show now, always love the transition from Mountain on the Moon> Dark Star.
Satisfaction
July 7, 1986
RFK Stadium

This was the only time I saw anything like Weir’s band introduction, and then Jerry chiming in with “One of my favorite people in the whole wide world, Mr Bob Weir!” It is a classic moment in a not well played show and has my vote as a top Satisfaction. I have had this tape since the show, on the D5scott version at archieve.org the Yea! Yea! when they decide to play Satisfaction is me.
Might As Well

Evans Field House, Northern Illinois University

Glad we can agree, if there is a better one, with Jerry having more fun than this version, I need to hear it.
Wharf Rat
June 20, 1983
Merriweather Post Pavilion

Ya, my levels went through the roof, Powerful version even without the "divine" intervention.
Truckin'
May 9, 1979
Broome County Arena

This one would be voted much higher if we had a better tape. The sweat was dripping of the ceiling, 2 for 2 with Binghamton Truckin's
