This is the Ladies and Gentlemen version, right? And this is Pigpen singing King Bee right? OK just checking...there should be 50 votes for this performance.

This is the Download Series right? I hope so. So on the Download Series Jerry fucking kills it on the Spanish Lady verse at 3 minutes. Check it out.
Eyes Of The World

Dane County Coliseum

The best version they played from '76 - '78. Not too fast like later '78, and the Wolf sings and wails for the Messiah.

The extended solo from Jerry during the bridge is exquisite here. He stretches it out from the 20 second versions of '77 to nearly two minutes, and he really nails this one like a studio solo, which isn't easy to do when you're improvising every night. And of course the Wolf makes it all the more exciting, and to boot, DP 18 features the Wolf older in the mix than any other '78 mix. Keith's electric piano is also prominent in the mix like nowhere else, and he holds down the groove fuckin' A. The stars were just aligned on this one for a sunray through the staff of Ra headpiece face-melter. I've been chasing a better bridge solo for years (an endeavor which ultimately ensnared me in the completist lifestyle of Deadhead CD collecting). There are some contenders, but this version remains #1. DaP 15 is hot, as is 30 Trips '78. It also transitions into what is arguably the best '76 - '78 Eyes Of The World they played. Live At The Cow Palace is up there. Not too fast like the later '78 versions became.
