I Need A Miracle
Dec. 28, 1988
Oakland Coliseum Arena

I love the idea of Miracle; a short blues number that lets Bobby be a rock star. Unfortunately, it often is just a short, standard post drums song with little pizazz. I tend the think the ‘78 versions are the best ones. Not so with this one! This one has loads of pizazz, power, & blues energy. Garcia blisters in the extended jam. Rarely was this song played with this kind of energy in the 80s. Add this Miracle to your favorites!

April 9, 1983
Hampton Coliseum

I'm a huge fan of 1983. Yes, its a diamond in the rough but the energy is off the charts. That being said, the H>S>F of the 1983-1985 years are really tough for me to enjoy. THe mistakes outweigh the fruits for me. I will relisten though.

And the Sugaree is hot
