You Ain't Woman Enough To Take My Man
May 26, 1973
Kezar Stadium

The vocals for Donna are low on the recording but the rest of the band are so tight this version really kicks ass!

How can you hate any version where Brent is just totally invested?

And We Bid You Goodnight
Dec. 31, 1978
Winterland Arena

You only get about the half the song in the recording but the band is awesome sounding and the audience is going insane!

Shakedown Street

Really heavy on Brent's synth at the beginning on the recording, which isn't a bad thing. Great vocal play with Jerry, Bob, & Brent.

Nice light and bouncy version. Jerry is spot on with his lyrics. The boys sound like they're having fun.

Dark Star

This song at this show was the moment that I got on the bus!
Dark Star
Sept. 19, 1970
Fillmore East

The clarity of the recording makes this one stand out. The start, slow and steady, with whatever that thing Mickey is playing sounding like a frog chirping, takes me back to camping on a lake in summer. Then it disappears into "space" for a while, only to reappear stronger and more powerful than before. 2/13 will always be my favorite for personal reasons but this is a strong version.

Understatement of the century! This thing just keeps going. No peaks and valleys. Just high energy from start to finish. Tie one on and hold on.
Me and My Uncle

Brown Eyed Women

It's hard to compete with the late '70s shows but this version holds its own nicely. Probably the best of the '90s versions I've ever heard.
