How so badly I wish he could just dust off those old rusty strings just one more time!

A sweet first set opener that they don't seem to want to let got of. The jam at the end just carries on nicely and keeps building.

This was the first version I heard sung by someone other than Merle Haggard. It's been my favorite version ever since.

Great version out of what can only be describes as a weird set. Stand alone Fire in the first set? Cryptical>Other One after The Wheel?

Carousel Ballroom

Incredible mellow start that just ramps up throughout the song. Phil is definitely leading this march.

There are certain songs that are enhanced by the aging in Jerry's voice. This is definitely one of them. It really sounds like a down on his luck man coming from a sad place but still hoping for one last break of luck. And Jerry's interaction with Brent on this Version is amazing.

Of all the split versions of Sugar Mag/Sunshine, this one has to be the best. Awesome energy on the Sugar Mag side. Brent's key work is phenomenal!

Greek Theatre, U. Of California

An absolutely great version! An encore to a killer show and during a lunar eclipse! What more do you want? And Jerry's voice sounding older and raspier gives it a different feel than the late 60's, early 70's versions. Not only that but over 15 minutes as an encore!? This version is just amazing on many levels.

And Brent is absolutely killing it. That triple key swipe after the "walk around" line will always bring me back to this version.
