Rides the pre-verse, always-becoming magic while taking every improvisational detour to smell the flowers and shake hands with the butterflies. Phil’s high-speed rubbery runs propel Jerry’s squealing ascension in the final drive, which is expertly punctuated by a pause, leaving the intro to shine full. A strong swig on the marrow of life. By the time we get to the full tiger screeching everything seems perfectly normal.

Another show, another wild, intergalactic subway ride through the axis mundi to the universal Now. Something deep in the recesses of your psyche has “broke big as hell in Pittsburgh” and you’re positively groovin’ on the musical wave.
