Jerry and Bobby are great here. Burning.

U.S. Blues (Wave That Flag)

The Summit

Easily the best version of this song I've ever heard. Listen to how Jerry sings!

Friend of the Devil

The Summit

If shows with great sounding SBs are overrated, the opposite is true. Jerry is burning this night and his solo here is spectacular.

New Minglewood Blues
Dec. 17, 1978
Fox Theatre

One of the best versions of this era. Jerry is loose and free. Bobby plays a great slide solo (really).

Terrapin Station

Boutwell Auditorium

The transition jam is longer than previous versions and many later ones, and Jerry goes somewhere in it. That should have happened more.

Estimated Prophet

Market Square Arena

Agreed, this is a remarkable transition into Eyes. Listen to what Bobby plays.
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
Feb. 3, 1979
Market Square Arena

moberg is right about the solo. What Jerry does in the last chorus is mind blowing. He just decides fuck it. Great transition and Fire too.
Dark Star
Jan. 20, 1979
Shea's Theater

This is not a good Dark Star. They try something dissonant, it doesn't work, verse is a train wreck, and they're relieved to be playing NFA. No wonder it was the last one for almost 3 years.
Pretty Peggy O
Jan. 17, 1979
New Haven Coliseum

It's late in the day but Jerry and Keith have some great interplay here.
Casey Jones
Jan. 15, 1979
Springfield Civic Center

Great vocals and solo
