Sneaky version with great playing by Keith and Jerry. Love what Jerry plays at the end of the jam.

I know they should have played Dark Star in Egypt. But this is a fantastic EP. Dynamic, dramatic, Jerry on fire.

Huge, 18-minute version with great dynamics, deep vocals. Bobby's slide playing and interplay with Jerry are great.

Sometimes in the darkness of a mid-Spring tour in 1983 the most predictable song played at the most predictable time is burning hot.

Beautiful, economical, expressive solo by Jerry

Staggering. Listen to the Jim Wise aud. Jerry's Scarlet solo is outrageous, Brent's playing is brilliant throughout, especially the marimba patch. Jam is super sparkly, dominated by Mickey's cowbell and Bobby's dog and cat noises. Listen to what Jerry starts to play at about 11:45. Fire is slow and dark. Agreed that Bobby's repeated vocal flub is great and should have been made part of the song.
