It's a bit uneven vocally, musically it's slow and sultry.

A ripping opener, Pigpen is all in, wonderful show, good quality tape but some unfortunate cuts.

So, not only is this a wonderful Dew, the Jerry banter after this and before beginning a transcendent Cryptical Suite is a hoot as well.

The opening minutes in particular are utterly mesmerizing. End to an amazing show start to finish. And really it is Pigpen the showcase with 3 songs inc. first and last (and none of them Lovelight; weird, right?). Psychedelia at it's finest.

So not only is this an amazingly powerful Dew, but you must experience it complete with the opener, Schoolgirl, AND the banter in between and again after Morning Dew. Jer and Phil are making with the merry in particular; just hilarious stuff.

What makes it even funnier, Donnie, is the announce has just exclaimed they were the best f'ing rock and roll band in the world (!) and they then proceed to open like this. (It's a fantastic rendition and a fantastic show.)

The beginning of perhaps the greatest ever 2nd set start to finish. In all of April of 1969 for sure.
