Feel Like A Stranger
Dec. 16, 1992
Oakland Coliseum Arena
A good bit of dynamics. Usually post 1991 Dead is radioactively bad but this has the band locked in.

Sphinx Theatre
In the pocket start to finish.

Mexicali Blues
Oct. 26, 1971
The Palestra, U. of Rochester
Rip Roarin' from everyone. Jerry's second solo sounds like James Burton attacking a pedal steel

Cassidy
May 7, 1980
Barton Hall - Cornell University
I don't hear the dissonant chords. To me it sounds like a whole step diatonic change off the major chord everyone else is playing in.
Morning Dew
June 23, 1988
Alpine Valley Music Theatre
Phil unleashes those bombs. Musical terror.
The Other One
Sept. 3, 1972
Folsom Field, University of Colorado
Between the 11:30 - 12:15 is a jam similar to the Feel Like A Stranger motif. The Dead 1972 could not be stopped. Incredible interplay throughout.
Bird Song
March 16, 1973
Nassau Coliseum
Garcia has a flourish of melodic ideas and the interplay throughout is high level.
The Other One
April 26, 1972
Jahrhunderthalle
Jerry comes crashing out of the gate for a non stop 6 minute solo - that swings with rock attributes. Uniquely Garcia.
