Very intense version in a bluesy second set.

Little Red Rooster
July 7, 1989
JFK Stadium

This is great. JFK is one of the best first sets of the Brent era (I guess tied with or maybe slightly second to 7/19/89), and every song is nearly perfect, topped off with the crazy Blow Away thing. I slightly prefer the Spectrum version of this song from 10/18, but I think that may be because that show had far fewer standout moments, so the Rooster shines a little brighter in a darker room...
The Music Never Stopped
April 24, 1978
Horton Field House - Illinois State University

The end jam of this is fantastic, but the intro is kind of a train wreck and most of the first half of the song is a little disjointed. If you're just listening for the jam, then let it rip in this one, but there are better overall versions start to finish.
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
April 24, 1978
Horton Field House - Illinois State University

I can't really upvote this one because Bob's trainwreck slide playing ruins the second jam segment. While in general, this version is very high energy and a good listen, there are definitely better ones where you don't have to cover your ears for several mins. This whole show is kind of a conundrum to evaluate. The band is clearly playing really well, and most of the songs are high energy and well played (i.e. Ramble On, Uncle>River, Passenger, Music, Scarlet>Fire, Terrapin, NFA, Around, etc), but none are THE one standout version of that song, either (except maybe Me & My Uncle because of the Stayin Alive intro, but no show is "made" by Me & My Uncle...), so it's like, it's very good, but I doubt I will listen to it much because there are better versions of every song elsewhere...
Stuck Inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again
July 18, 1989
Alpine Valley

89 was the banner year for Memphis Blues Again, but all of the versions are very good but fairly indistinguishable. 7/7, 10/9, and 10/16 are just better known shows (since Desolation Row made it on Downhill From Here instead of MBA).
Hell in a Bucket
June 21, 1989
Shoreline Amphitheatre

I think they did this to "complete the circle" with the Bucket > Fire with Clarence from the show before the Shoreline run.
