I love this version. I agree with Grendel that I'd prefer the space noodling to be a little shorter, but the meltdown jam out of HCS before it gets too spacy is wonderful and unique, and the transition to the folky Bobby McGee is one of the most sublime moments in the band's musical history and really energizes that song as well.

Jed is a song that I don't know if I have a "favorite" because a lot of them are very similar, but if you're looking for a good reference version, this one has a nice tempo, everyone locked in, no major vocal flubs, and a nice little flourish in the jam before the last chorus. It's a good listen.

The jam that melts out of space into Watchtower is great. Many times, the best versions of a song are the ones out of space because they jam into it. This is no exception to that rule.
