Previous unheard recording of Phil bombing a small club in SF for around 8 minutes. More than worth a listen!

Keystone Palo Alto
Nice funky R&C. Also happens to be the last JGB show w/ Keith & Donna. Love Jer’s vox(especially “I’ve been afraid and I don’t know why I do). Heady!

I don’t really hear the train wreck in this one. They may have gotten a little lost vocally, but I think the solos more than make up for that. I love Jerry’s aggressive slide on this song, which we never really see. I’d say that 4/19 is more of a “trainwreck,” with Jerry getting a little too lost in his solo, and misses the cue to go back into the verse, but they fix it up pretty well. And yes, this show is gold

This is a great LiG. It starts off alright, but Jerry really kicks it into gear at 3:20, when he just goes off for the solo. Bobby and Donna’s vocals are nice, and to top it all off, it’s a long one(14 mins). Overall, very nice version. DaP 37 sounds great!
Mississippi Halfstep Uptown Toodeloo

Just got my Dave’s today, and this Half-Step is a ripper. Jerry’s vocals are great, and the solos are some of the best I’ve heard. Great version!
Row Jimmy
May 19, 1977
Fox Theatre
This one beats the Cornell one by a small margin. I prefer the solos on this one, especially the first. Jerry plays with that slide very carefully and sparingly, which provides for a great effect. I’ve always loved when Jerry plays w/ a slide(WRS, Row Jimmy, Passenger, Little Red Rooster, etc.). From Dicks Picks 29(the best one imho). Just got it on CD today!

The groove on this one is interesting, but after a minute or so, you’ll get used to it. The vocals and solos on this one are good. Haven’t got my Dave’s yet, but from what I’ve listened to from the show(BEW and Dew), it’s gonna be a good one.
