Small Club in North SF

Previous unheard recording of Phil bombing a small club in SF for around 8 minutes. More than worth a listen!

Nice funky R&C. Also happens to be the last JGB show w/ Keith & Donna. Love Jer’s vox(especially “I’ve been afraid and I don’t know why I do). Heady!

Great version from a rare Garcia/Kahn show. Jer on vocals this time, which is good. From GarciaLive 14

El Paso
Nov. 15, 1971
The Austin Municipal Auditorium

I know some don’t like a Dark Star>El Paso, but I love them. It was only something the Dead could do. This version is great; helped me relieve myself from the DS the scared the hell out of me. Don’t listen to a scary Dark Star at 3:00 in the morning, unless you’re REAL brave

This one is really good. The solos are like butter. Very clean.
Morning Dew
April 15, 1978
William and Mary College Hall

Since this show has been announced for a Dave’s this year, I’ve decided to hold off on listening to the show until it arrives. One exception has been made, the Dew. This one is truly gorgeous. It’s long, well played, and the vocals are on point. Can’t wait to hear the rest of the show. I also have a feeling they’ll throw in some of 4/12/78 as bonus material.

Listening to this show again, and I’m pretty sure someone yells “Dark Star!” before the song starts. Great version

Love hearing the audience shouting out songs at the end. I Know You Rider! Mountains of the Moon! Wharf Rat! Dark Star!
