The Other One
Oct. 13, 1972
Small Club in North SF

Previous unheard recording of Phil bombing a small club in SF for around 8 minutes. More than worth a listen!

Rubin and Cherise

Keystone Palo Alto

Nice funky R&C. Also happens to be the last JGB show w/ Keith & Donna. Love Jer’s vox(especially “I’ve been afraid and I don’t know why I do). Heady!

Great version from a rare Garcia/Kahn show. Jer on vocals this time, which is good. From GarciaLive 14

Eyes Of The World
Sept. 7, 1973
Nassau Coliseum

Maybe my favorite Eyes jam, at least from this era. They take it places that are seldom heard in other versions. Jerry just goes off, with Phil and Bobby not too far behind. At around 9:02 Billy gets quiet and let’s Jerry one of the most rewarding licks I think he’s ever played. Top 5 version imho, seek this one out
Eyes Of The World
Feb. 23, 1974
Winterland Arena

Very excited for the Dave’s release. They put this one up as a teaser. This is absolutely incredible. Super melodic and flowing Jerry and Keith solos, Phil is going off, Billy and Bobby holding the fort, everything you could want. Small Slipknot! teases here and there in the jam. Great sound quality to boot!
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
Aug. 21, 1993
Autzen Stadium - University of Oregon

This may be the best post-Brent era China>Rider(9/20/90 might have a word with me later, we’ll see). Jerry sounds confident on Lightning Bolt, which was debuted here. The acoustic tone suites the songs well, especially on Rider, calling back to the acoustic versions from 1970, and the groove may as well be just as tight. This one is not to be overlooked, give it a listen!
Little Red Rooster

UIC Pavilion

The peak on this one is insane!
Truckin'
Nov. 6, 1977
Broome County Arena

In the small vocal jam at the end, like 9/8/73, there are strong hints of I Need A Miracle here. Tons of energy
