This a JGB version. This one always gets me emotional. One of the best R&Cs ever performed. Jerry’s voice!

Great version. Love Jerry’s MIDI effects on this, and Bruce and Vince kill it. Great video of the show from Shakedown Stream.

Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain

Barton Hall - Cornell University

This show is definitely overrated, but this song, especially the Fire, makes me smile so hard. The first solo after the chorus is where it’s at!
Loose Lucy

Giants Stadium

Very nice version of this song. Wish they would’ve brought back the ‘74 arrangement, but the ‘73 one is great also. Jerry sounds nice on this one. Great show also, but you already knew that!!
U.S. Blues (Wave That Flag)
April 12, 1978
Cameron Indoor Stadium

This version is absolutely crazy. There must have been some powered refreshments backstage before the encore! The solo is insane, and after they get real quite so that Jerry can steal your wife
Dire Wolf
Oct. 11, 1977
Lloyd Noble Center - University of Oklahoma

It’s definitely a rarity for a Dire Wolf to appear in a second set, especially after the early 70s. A little different than most; very mellow and storyteller-like. Has sort of a ‘79 feel to it. Comes after a monster Dancin’!
Dancin' in the Streets
June 11, 1976
Boston Music Hall

This Dancin’ is smoking. I may be biased, as this was my first tape(second set). The Dancin’ lands nicely from St. Stephen, and from the first drum beats, you know you’re in for a treat. Donna’s vocals are great on this version(best I’ve ever heard from her. Always loves her vocals), and the jam is sublime. The synchronized part at the end of the jam, like most other versions of Dancin’(IMHO), is the best part; the meat of the song. Dig it!
