Jerry screws up the lyrics on Lady With a Fan, but overall this is a pretty good version. The outro jam is pretty unique also.

From GarciaLive 1. Very funky with very good vocals from Jerry. Give it a listen!

Not a very special version, but has some good vocals. Not too rushed either.

It was very rare for the Dead to play a slow River in the 80s, but this is almost ‘74 speed! Love it!

Great version of Day Job coming out of the quintessential Hell in a Bucket. This song has an early Beatles vibe that I really dig.

This is my favorite moment in any Dead show so far. Great transition from Eyes. Listen to Bobby!

One of the best Strangers I’ve heard. Great opening and Bob is in good voice. I really enjoy the jam in this version. Jerry rips it up! Great show also, especially for ‘86.
Help On The Way > Slipknot > Franklin's Tower

Boise Pavilion - Boise State University

This Help>Slip>Franks is a great version from the 80s. This is from one of my all time favorite shows, and this second set opener is one of the reasons why. Even though Jer screws up the lyrics to Help on the Way, he nails all the guitar parts, and they go straight into Slipknot!. This Slip is very intense, with Jerry, Brent, and Phil leading the show. They go crazy all over this version. The Franklin’s is fast, but the boys still jam well on it, and Jerry makes up for the vocals on Help with the vocals here. Only one or two missed vocals. Nice jam that leads the band into Estimated. Always thought that this should’ve been labeled Help>Slip>Franks>Estimated>Eyes>etc. Great version from a great show
