Nice early electric version. Always preferred this key for Dire Wolf compared to when they changed it in the later years. Just right. Nice version.

Takes you right to Chicago. Jerry’s playing emulates the blues greats. Hard rocking version that reminds me of a Junior Wells cut. Highly recommend.

Haunting organ playing. Crystalline and psychedelic early version that feels very spacey. Great vocal delivery.

Very nice solo from Jerry. Phil is all over this as well, some great melodic bass playing that compliments the song very well.

These early 70s Jack Straws have so much Charm. Silky smooth rendition full of grace and wonderful joyous interplay. Surprised this isn’t here yet.

This is the pinnacle of Playin's. Severely and utterly under the radar. Mind altering space jams that reach the absolute apex of psychedelic jazz improvisation. Very intense magic going on here. Incredible. To quote quinn_76, woefully underrated.

Love the Love for this one. Almost any tune from this show could’ve ended up on the album. Top Shelf Dead.
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider

Jerry just soars. Just a real special moment from them as the band is completely interlocked and Jerry sees this as an opportunity to let loose and chart out new ideas. Lovely guitar lines that demand authority and turns the melody on its head. Lovely version. Rider is particularly inspired, very honest rendition.

This was my go to Playin’ for a really long time. Incredible electric fusion that alters your brain chemistry and zaps your entire nervous system. I need to revisit 8/6 but I had always preferred this night. Incredible showcase of Weather Report and Herbie Hancockesque jamming.

Like being stuck under cosmic ooze. Jerry is possessed, channeling spirts of old to help him traverse these different dimensions, pushing the boundaries of human exploration. Check out Keith at the very end.
