Playin' In The Band
Nov. 23, 1978
Capital Centre

The band tries to catch Jerry and wolf as they’re seemingly on the loose. Traversing through snowy mountaintops. A wonderful journey.

Brent’s organ takes this to another level. I’m partial towards the Pigpen Version, but this shines in its own ways. Lovely phrasing from Jerry as well

Shocked to not see this here yet. Absolute scorcher from a really great show. Jerry’s tone cuts through like a scorching hot knife. Skin your wife.

Coming out of He's Gone. Billy goes ham, hitting the drums like a machine gun.

A mighty a primal drum section reminiscent of the early acid test days. Follows after a rare Cryptical and breaks through into The Other One.

Weather Report Suite
May 14, 1974
Adams Field House, U of Montana

Dionysian style jamming. A beautiful and spacey gateway into the deepest and darkest parts of the cosmos that the band have explored up to that date, imagine the minds blown in Montana that day? Great version from one of my favorite shows.
Dark Star
Dec. 7, 1968
Bellarmine College

Super fluid. Poignant guitar playing that’s pure liquid diamond. Great early version that flows so nicely. Short and sweet and perfectly psychedelic. This ones actually really good.
Ramble On Rose
May 19, 1977
Fox Theatre

So good. A jaunty and jangly, one of my favorite versions that swings and sways like the psychedelic carnival ride it embodies so well. Such a beautiful sound.
Sugaree
May 25, 1974
Campus Stadium, UCSB

This one is genuinely amazing, just from a song standpoint, this one is played with such passion and is damn near perfect in terms of execution. This one really captures the essence of the song, sure it's not Pembroke, but don't pass it up by any means. One of my all time favorite shows.
Big River
Feb. 26, 1973
Pershing Municipal Auditorium

A tornado, Im feeling Big River today and this one is up there with the best of them. Captures the jangly bluesy feel of this song so perfectly. Rootin’ tootin’ version that’ll have you two stepping in no time.
