Stunning version. Sung with lots of passion, and during the solo, Jerry lets Wolf run loose and lets her howl. Great version from a great show!

Phil Lesh has passed to the great beyond. Thank you for the gift of music Phil, and for making my life, and so many others better with your powerful and timeless music. May the 4 winds blow you home again.

Hardcore psychedelia. Ice cold playing with their telepathy on full display. Pigs organ tone is lush and adds SO much to this version. Feedback, chainsaw ripping playing, what a juggernaut. I can hear Dr.Frankenstein shouting “ITS ALIVE” as you hear this monster come alive. Some of the tightest and most locked in playing I’ve ever heard from the band, Billy and Mickey are stomping like giants, and destroying everything in its path. Pure destruction. Everything I love about primal dead.

Plain gorgeous. The Dead in 71 were the best damn saloon band of all time, taking a powerful Stonewall Jackson tune and taking it to church. Jerry does some wonderful squeals on the guitar that really ring like a bell, beautiful and timeless.

Thank you for reminding me of this show Carrion. Love your reviews and thank you for your contributions on this site. These feedbacks were some of my favorites to listen to when I first got into the band. I feel like I’m levitating as the band performs this black magic seance. Jerry really speaks on his guitar, quite eerie and macabre. This is a tunnel full of mirrors with no end in sight until suddenly, falling like a single water droplet into a calm and stagnant body of water as the band Bids you goodnight. Haunting as always. Short and sweet as they say.
