The Eleven

Fillmore East
Stupidly heavy, shades of early heavy metal on this one. Incredible controlled chaos that explores so much. A very tight version.

Phil joyously expresses himself on this. A gun shot is heard on this one signaling a jam, and the William Tell Bridge is really well played. Excellent

Sandwiched between Truckin’ and Eyes, this jam takes me to checkerboard floors and red curtains. Deserves its own place. Unique Jerry lines.

I adore any version of this tune. This one is particularly joyful and full of life.

China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
Nov. 15, 1969
Lanai Theater
Bouncy as it is lysergic. Unique phrasing from Jerry. Everybody’s vocals are on. The Rider is some pure country fried jamming if I’ve ever heard it.

Jack A Roe
May 13, 1977
Auditorium Theatre
Yeah, this is a good one. I always love a great Jack a Roe and this certainly qualifies. The music embodies the words.
The Other One
June 12, 1970
Civic Auditorium
MONSTEROUS. The drums after cryptical are completely demented and full of unnatural power. Mickey and Bill embody the Ouroboros. Very formless, at times reminds me of My Favorite Things. Love Bobby's energy on this too. Plain awesome. The drum solo made my day. Thank you for the suggestion cgarces.
Eyes Of The World
June 28, 1976
Auditorium Theatre
Start from here to experience a truly life changing jam. Blissful Eyes that really gets out there. A whirlwind of imaginative melodic ideas that leads into a deep jam introduced by Phil with his monumental tone as the drummers take us into deep space, only for us to find that happiness is indeed drumming. Stellar. Check out Hunters Trix for the best sounding version of this show.
Fire On The Mountain

Why I love the Grateful Goddamn Dead.
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider

Hofheinz Pavilion
Glorious China>Rider. Keith tears the house down as you can feel the entire band catching on to this wave of energy. So good.
