Excellent conclusion to a Wharf Rat > I Need a Miracle > Bertha > Good Lovin'. From Road Trips Vol. 1, No. 1. Finishes with an energetic flourish.

Only one vote for this before mine!! This definitely deserves more love. A monster of a version, very quick drum solo in the middle, slides nicely into Might As Well. From the "Spirit of '76" official release (bonus disc from the "Live at Cow Palace" show).

Needs more votes!! This is the one from Europe '72, Vol. 2. Part of a great and very tasty NFA > GDTRFB > NFA sandwich. Maybe I'm just used to more drawn-out versions of these tunes, but these feel very compact yet powerful. These songs, and the Europe '72, Vol. 2 release generally, are good for converting newbies (well, just be careful not to scare them off with that Dark Star > Drums > The Other One section!).

"Unhurried" is a great word for this. I especially enjoy the jam leading into the Rio Grande-o portion, relaxed but very interesting. Then a nice vocal performance on the actual "Across the Rio Grade-o" part. Very nice overall and a great way to start the show!

Agreed with Tigerpop, Jerry's solo is fantastic! One of the gold standards for Ship is 5/9/77, and I don't think this tops it. But the solo is a bit more distorted, a bit less clean perhaps, but I don't mean that as an insult. Hope that all makes sense - if not, just listen for yourself!

Others have said it too, but I just have to mention Keith! He’s playing some beautiful stuff and it’s working perfectly in the song. Fantastic show overall too, the whole thing is worth your time in my opinion.
