High intensity, coming in hot after a hot Caboose jam.

Powerful version. The vocal entrance at the end brings the house down, you can tell they're having fun; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4gjjkcVIoys

Bob goes for it in the rap and Garcia smiles a bit. A fun latter day version, though it never jams out like mad. Video of it here! https://www.youtube

China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
Aug. 27, 1972
Old Renaissance Faire Grounds

I haven't commented on this one before, but this is THE best China Rider, no doubt. They nail every aspect of it, and the Feelin' Groovy jam be unecessary, since they actually played this one as perfect. This show may be overrated, but this China Rider is almost underrated as it tears down every other version.
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
Dec. 10, 1972
Winterland Arena

An okay China for the time, with a pretty straight-forward transition; but the Rider is something else. Great energy and playing, they felt the Rider that night. It deserves an upvote for that alone!

The Other One

Lille Fairgrounds

Listen to Keith, Phil and Billy at the start of this. One of my top TOOs. Edit: The start of this TOO is fiery indeed. Garcias notes when he enters the jam always makes me think of some snowstained mountain peaks, subtle yet brutal.

The 70th vote, because this is that X-factor Grateful Dead we all know and love.
