So, so tight! Holy shit! Spontanius combustion in the later half of this, my god. The video only makes it better!

Turn On Your Love Light

Downright TRIBAL! If this had better sound quality it would be considered one of the best of '69. Helluva ride, clocking in at 42 minutes. Spin it!

Embryonic Good Lovin', but fascinating thinking of how Good Lovin' transformed over the next two years.

Sweet, sweet Pig. So laid back, this Easy Wind is sleazy as should be.

Bird Song
Aug. 27, 1972
Old Renaissance Faire Grounds

Dude420, same here, and i absolutely agree. This is the pinnacle of psychedelic Dead, the raw emotion pours out of them, and when they hit the drum break, they blast into ecstasy. THIS Bird Song and the China Rider from the same show are top versions, and they leave me speechless, every god damn time. God i love the Dead.

Great tempos and playing, overhauling the tune with that '72 mojo fits VERY well. Great phil bomb in the segue, Bob got completely disoriented!
Morning Dew

Perfect. I think i prefer this one over any other '72 Dew (that i've heard up until now of course) besides the New Year show. And the fact that it's the first one following Dark Star, makes it all the more special and enchanting.

Never stops giving, always exciting. The volume fanning Keith is doing far into the jam (around 22 min-ish) fits so well, everyone follows after him, amazing interplay through the whole thing! A unique star, seems really underrated.. Upvote from me here!

Very moving, considering the jam it followed, it packs an emotional punch.
