One of the more languid takes on this one. Although Jerry's voice is shot, it works. Notable for 2 runs through the solo, both of them stellar.

Explosive jam makes this one a bit unique. Not as smooth and complex as some later versions, but synergy and chops by all.

Smokes from head to tail. No SBD, or this would be top 5 with ease.

I fully expect this one to rise in popularity once the BBD arrives.

Nice AUD has Jerry up front. Great solo in SB, transition is interesting, with nice cascading riffs, followed by a Hot FOTM.

Agree, fantastic version from a standout year for the tune. Anyone else hear a Beatles quote by Kieth in there? sounds like "It's all too much" to my ears.

I did finish the S>F project. It became a bit tedious. I would have never made it chronologically. No way am I doing every Sugaree. I did do all the '77's. I have a spread sheet with timings I'll share.. My grading criteria is kind of abstract, energy and precision are a big factor. With this particular song, knowing when to quit also factored in somewhat. See 5/28 compared to 5/22 for an example.

The second break has two stratospheric peaks that rival any from this year. Get the miller.

This deserves more praise. Keith's contributions on whatever synth he is using lend a special quality to this one. +1

Phil is channeling Mel Schacher on the intro to FOTM. Don't burn me at the stake.
