Help On The Way > Slipknot > Franklin's Tower
March 25, 1994
Nassau Coliseum

Not one of the "big boys" in terms of versions, but features nice Hornsby on accordian.

So Many Roads
Oct. 19, 1994
Madison Square Garden

Strong version with great Jerry vocals. The whole show is underrated.

China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
Aug. 19, 1989
Greek Theatre, U. Of California

China starts out rough, with some missed lyrics, but the transition is amazing, and JG's vocals are tops: he even sings along with BW on his line!

Turn On Your Love Light
Oct. 14, 1994
Madison Square Garden

Late period: why like it? Because BW & JG imbue it with an energy befitting the rest of this great show. Not the greatest version, but loads of fun.

Samba In The Rain
Oct. 14, 1994
Madison Square Garden

Hated it when I heard it (multiple times): but on tape this (terrible) song is pretty strong in this version. JG's solo is solid enough.

So Many Roads
March 19, 1995
The Spectrum

Best part of a lackluster show (and yes, I am counting the Unbroken breakbout).
Playin' In The Band
April 8, 1971
Boston Music Hall

Good reference point to assess later exploratory versions.
Playin' In The Band
March 19, 1977
Winterland Arena

Interesting in that some of the best moments are in the jam following Samson. It's not simply a "space> reprise" sort of thing, but a well-developed exploration.
Playin' In The Band
Nov. 17, 1973
Pauley Pavilion - University of California

Garcia is flowing brilliantly in the first serving of Playin: transition to UJB is flawless, puts later Playin> UJBs to shame.
The Other One
Sept. 3, 1985
Starlight Theater

I think it's the strongest of the '85 TIFTOOs. (But that might not be saying all that much...)
