Madison Square Garden

Very energetic version from a period when that wasn't a given.

A surprisingly powerful version, JG very passionate and on-top of it. Especially given it had to follow a LWTGH which fizzled into nothing.

Very powerful Bobby on this one: his acoustic pairs nicely with strong vocals. And great support from the band & Hornsby as well.

Throwing Stones
Oct. 9, 1989
Hampton Coliseum

There are some rough moments, but I think that the overall effect outweighs whatever small imperfections have come earlier. I will admit that the GL afterward is fairly, um, lethargic.
The Music Never Stopped
Oct. 9, 1989
Hampton Coliseum

This really begins to burn during the jam, and they work up such momentum you think it's not going to stop!
Help On The Way > Slipknot > Franklin's Tower
Oct. 9, 1976
Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Stadium

The way that Slipknot materializes from the end of Samson is sublime. As I've said in other comments about this show, its setlist is maybe the best structured the band ever did.
Not Fade Away
Oct. 9, 1976
Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Stadium

Good and long version, but this show is really more than the sum of its parts: one of the best designed setlists in the band's history.
Not Fade Away

Fillmore East

Incredible version, swings through all kinds of moods as it winds its way out and down.
