Dark Star

RFK Stadium

My first one. Missed the bustouts at Hampton '89 and RFK '90, but this one was huge...actually, the whole show was pretty colossal!

Death Don't Have No Mercy

Springer's Inn Portland

Jerry just nails this version to the wall coming out of a sick Eleven Jam. This one is special.

Alligator

Okay, the Alligator's kinda short, but I nominate the entire Alligator>Drums>Eleven Jam because it hasn't been talked about on here. Smokin'.

Dancin' in the Streets

Springer's Inn Portland

"C'mon everybody get in a big long line and dance around now!" Absolutely primal Dead

Morning Dew
Sept. 3, 1988
Capital Centre

Towering Dew. Jerry just emotes all over the place! The Ripple gets all the love from this night, but the Dew is the climax and the real highlight.

Eyes Of The World
Sept. 7, 1973
Nassau Coliseum

Wow! This is a blisteringly hot Eyes. Not even that jazzy...just relentless and rippin'! It's like they channeled 1977 for a sec. Keith on electric keys, Phil jam, and Jer shreds...what more do you need? Perhaps second only to 6/18/74, imo
Eyes Of The World
May 17, 1974
P.N.E. Coliseum

Love Keith's work on the Fender Rhodes here...just the jazzy touch Eyes calls for. (edit) Wow. The official release of this from the PNW '73-'74 box set sounds AMAZING. This one should be ranked higher. Period.
Looks Like Rain
Dec. 1, 1979
Stanley Theater

Awesome rolling thunder effects by the drummers lead this one off
Turn On Your Love Light
Dec. 28, 1969
International Speedway

This one should be much higher...just saturated with that certain energy and it's own kind of ramshackle perfection
Alligator
Nov. 10, 1967
Shrine Auditorium

WOW. Drippy lysergic weirdness...
