Bouncy ā€˜73 version. Jerry and Keith are chasing each other during the breaks. Take another listen if you love ā€˜73 TLEO.

One of the stongest and cleanest JS I have heard. Bobby is spot on here.

Shakedown Street

Sweet set 2 opener. Hearing the crowds cheers swell during 'don't tell me this town ain't got no heart' brings a smile and goosebumps. There's nothing like a Grateful Dead concert.
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
May 12, 1981
Veterans' Memorial Coliseum

The energy cranks up in the 2nd half of China Cat and the transition into Rider is immaculate. They earned their 'short break' with this set 1 closer. The whole show is a great example of '81 sweetness.

The boys in full flower. Boogie music!
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
March 28, 1985
Nassau Coliseum

This China Cat has the bouncin' boogie goodness of '73 Dead with the '85 version of Jerry's vocals. Jerry's solo and Brent's organ bursts sound happy throughout. Beautiful segue into Rider which is played and sung with strength. For my money, one of the best China->Rider experiences of the post-70's Dead. If your a China->Rider fan and haven't heard this one in a while, check it out!

Beautifully played after a sweet version of BOR. Nice harmonies, tasty solo, one of the better versions...another '73 gem.
