There's a beautiful 16mm video of this on YouTube -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mf1dNTexCL4. Some absolutely beautiful runs by Jerry here

Not the best sound quality, but the quality shines through. Deserves a listing. Jerry and Bill K. on top form

This needs more votes. It's confident, solid, well-delivered, and bouncy as hell.

Dynamic. Not the best, perhaps, but a 25-minute version from DP16 that's definitely worth listing.

An absolute monster. From 'Dick's Picks Vol. 22'. The way Pigpen's vocals are recorded, weaving in and out of the rhythm tracks, is truly haunting.

Goin' Down The Road Feelin' Bad

The jam that ends 'Love Light' and begins 'GDTRFB' is some of the most beautiful Dead music ever laid to tape. And the 'GDTRFB' itself is a real rocker. It's amazing how they could be intense and laid-back simultaneously.

This always felt like a bit of a stroll for me. I don't mean in terms of pace - it should be played at a stroll - but I mean in terms of intensity and musical goodness. There are a few nice Jerry guitar slashes, and some solid work from Phil and Bill - but it's all a bit *too* steady for me. Wouldn't have minded at all if it were under 10 minutes long, but it's over a quarter-hour. The Dead could be indulgent too.

I wish Bobby didn't screw up the lyrics *quite* so consistently. Still, the band - and Bobby on rhythm guitar - are on fire for a quarter-hour here.

Jerry's solos here are sublime, and Keith's runs behind him are perfectly beautiful.

It is clean, with the vocals sounding heartfelt -- but bordering on sterile. This is the best known version but there are much deeper, superior ones. 2/26/73 at Pershing, for instance.
