This one just keeps growing. Amazing solos. Great later-era dead vibe.

Driving interpretation later in a smoking first set that had the band ON FIRE. Weir's playing is especially innovative in this set- some of his best.

Intense, lyrical version coming out of a beautiful (aren't they all?) Crazy Fingers from a hot first set.

Epically intense crescendos. A singular version set in an awesomely improvisational first set. Especially listen to Weir & Garcia's contributions.

A great version. This was hands-down one of the best first sets from their shows in this era, and this Sugaree helps to make it great.
Help On The Way > Slipknot > Franklin's Tower

I was at this show, and remember being epically let down by the Slipknot, which is funny, because since then I've always loved this version when listening to it- it was just more of a low-key jam on it than I'd heard at the time, but it's an offbeat, sort of "interior" one, with 'jazzy' jerry intensity, which is part of what makes it so great to me now.
Playin' In The Band

An amazing start to a show, and it was my first show, so it helped to really hook me on the band. In retrospect, I think it's also a pretty hot version for that era.

My favorite version of the song, and it's got the early "ginger verse." A funky rendition, especially from Garcia!
Help On The Way > Slipknot > Franklin's Tower

Meadowlands Arena

I second that- an awesome intensity and drive to it.
