Brown Eyed Women
Dec. 2, 1973
Surprised to not see this on here yet. Great, soulful playing all around, with some funny banter and a Beer Barrel Polka afterwards.
June 16, 1974
Iowa State Fairgrounds
Excellent version. Lots of good ones from 74, e.g. Alexandra Palace in London. This one deserves to be higher though. Jerry really belts it, and the whole song is drenched in that Wall of Sound goodness, if you're a sucker for that sound like I am.
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
Aug. 5, 1974
Philadelphia Civic Arena
Would definitely put this higher up. No knock on the better-rated versions, but if you like phil bombs/vocals this one is gold. Plus the transition is butter, and Jerry kills the headlight section. 10/10.
Help On The Way > Slipknot > Franklin's Tower
Aug. 13, 1975
Great American Music Hall
Agree with all that's been said about this amazing version. Just want to add how much I think Bill Graham's intro does on top of the trio itself...what a spine tingling buildup!
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
Playin' In The Band
Eyes Of The World
Althea, Uptown Theatre, Aug. 19, 1980
Stuck Inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again, The Spectrum, March 17, 1992
Not Fade Away, Henry J. Kaiser Convention Center, Feb. 11, 1986
The energy is crackling.
