Uncle John's Band
April 17, 1982
Hartford Civic Center
Fantastic. Very brief Slipknot! tease towards the end. The segue into NFA is killer
Bird Song
April 16, 1983
Meadowlands Arena
The peak at the end of the jam is glorious.
Playin' In The Band
April 16, 1972
Aarhus University
Holy god. If a band were to spontaneously combust during a performance, it would sound like this.
Greatest Story Ever Told
April 16, 1972
Aarhus University
Balls out intensity, dripping with heavy Jerry wah-wah goodness, and no Donna wailing. Fantastic version
Brown Eyed Women
April 15, 1978
William and Mary College Hall
jztjnz I definitely give them props for mixing it up, but in my opinion this is a song that is heavily reliant on that in-the-pocket 4/4 groove. I can’t fault them for trying though, which is what we all love about this band. Sometimes it just doesn’t work out (to my ears, anyway).
