Promised Land

Great second set version after a 45 minute jam and emotive China Doll.

Major screw-up of the lyrics here, Pig tries to make up for it and then Jerry just steals the show. I can dig.

Real nice Jerry solo in this one. Excited to hear it remastered in the next Dave's Picks
Stella Blue
Oct. 14, 1983
Hartford Civic Center

Welp. Knew about the Scarlet Fire from this show, listened to the whole thing on the 37th anniversary and this Stella crept up on me and will have to give this more than a few relistens. WOW, phenomenal version and one of my favorites already
Estimated Prophet
Oct. 14, 1983
Hartford Civic Center

"a cool version" is actually very well said for this Prophet. After a scorching all-timer 30-min Scarlet Fire, this one is very cool with a great slower pace and eloquent jamming by Jerry. The outro jam is wonderful as mentioned above. The Eyes transition is *chef's kiss* perfect
Mama Tried

flawless transition into Big River. Good stuff
Stella Blue

'76 may be the year for Stella! At least for me....My fav on 6/15 at the Beacon, and this one out of a fiery Other One, tempo is perfect, vocals are haunting, and the guitar work is perfecto. Awesome show, DP 33 really is one of the best
