Playin' In The Band
Sept. 15, 1973
Providence Civic Center

Great version out of a nice Bird Song that suffers due to only an audience recording existing. Still definitely worth the listen though

Truckin'

High energy Truckin with a brief instrumental Nobody's Fault jam that segues perfectly into Smokestack to end set 1

Around and Around
June 24, 1973
Memorial Coliseum

Love this song when it's as hot as this set closer, am not a fan at all when it's not played well. Probably my most on the fence Dead tune but boy do they kill it here. Bobby as high energy as ever
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
June 24, 1973
Memorial Coliseum

I am a sucker for Feelin' Groovy but this China Cat is red hot all the way through with a tremendous transition into Rider. Not to be missed for sure - definitely underrated following the PNC show from the 22nd. Rider is also great here, just full of energy like any great China>Rider from this era! Rider might be better than 6/22..?
The Race Is On
