Crazy awesome intro from The Eleven. Jerry's voice is a little low in the mix but still a great version

Love the acoustic early ones, but this is wonderful. Great vocals and tone by the whole band

30 trips version, mislabeled as 10/2/79 (at least on spotify) but hot stuff here

The Tighten Up jam in the middle of this is epic! fast as hell and wonderful. Love '70 Dancin's

Great choice for the 30 trips album to represent '68. So much packed into 10 minutes...a microcosm of what this song would become. Feels like the infant version of the Live/Dead one four months later. TC is awesome in this era on Dark Star too imo

I've gone a few years convinced (and still, to some extent) that the 12/26/79 UJB is the best ever. But as soon as I saw a SIXTEEN MINUTE version of this, I had to listen to the whole second set and this one does not disappoint. the 79 one is still special to me, but god damn this playing is ferocious and dark and explores every nook and crevice you could possibly want from the song. Monster jam, monster show.
