Hot Sugar Magnolia to cap off an energetic and well-played second set! The boys are ON tonight and only wish the first set was available somewhere....

Friend of the Devil
Sept. 24, 1982
Carrier Dome, Syracuse U
This is heady as hell. Got recommended this one and it’s a top notch version that I’d highly recommend to any slower FOTD fans. Great solos by Brent and Jerry and his vocals sound fantastic for the time period
Goin' Down The Road Feelin' Bad
Oct. 19, 1972
Fox Theatre
Unique intro solo that is super cool. This second set rivals the much more popular night before
Jack Straw

Fox Theatre
Phil loud as hell in the mix here. Great stuff
Deal
Oct. 18, 1972
Fox Theater
The juxtaposition of this Deal after the first ever Playin sandwich is so wonderful, what’s that saying? The Grateful Dead weren’t the first to do it , they’re the only ones doing it. The best.
